This project involves the construction of a new community living center (CLC) at the Perry Point, MD VAMC. The new facility shall be approximately 100,000 GSF with associated site improvements including utilities and parking. The project will consist of six 16-bed houses for a total of 96 veteran beds. Three design options (Option A, B and C) with different building massing and configurations are under consideration. A community center will serve as the central hub for the new CLC as well as the support areas for facility staff. The community center will also house the great room, coffee/sandwich shop, administrative suite, adult day health, therapy clinic, and a medical suite including dental and medical exam rooms. The 16-bed house module areas will be supported by neighborhood centers that function as a gathering place for the residents. The houses, neighborhood centers and community center shall be connected by a promenade space.
